When you are a brand attempting to go global, one of the biggest challenges is maintaining a consistent voice across countries, time zones, and cultures. Likewise, if you are an agency representing multiple brands, it can seem nearly impossible to patrol countless social media accounts in order to find the best ones to post onto a targeted country’s social networks. This is a problem that is made more difficult for brands and agencies attempting to do business in the biggest world economy, China.
KAWO and it’s user-friendly inspiration board tackle these issues head on. The inspiration board allows users to sync up multiple Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter accounts, bypassing the Great Firewall. We layout these posts pulled from western social media in a way that is easy to browse for you to select ones that are appropriate to publish on Chinese social media platforms.
But that’s not all…
It’s no secret that different social media outlets have different image size standards. We save you time by seamlessly optimizing image size so that you can easily publish across any platform.
One of the first problems we found was that brands post the same things across multiple outlets, which cluttered the Inspiration Board. KAWO solves this issue by intelligently combining duplicate posts, maintaining a streamlined source of content.
Original Post Linking
A lot of western social media uses url referrers. Often these referrers don’t work in China and when posted to Weibo can clutter western social media statistics. KAWO automatically removes the referrers so the link you see is the final destination.
Not all of the content from western social networks is appropriate for China, so the Inspiration Board rapidly becomes cluttered. We now auto delete any content that hasn’t been used after 30 days, making the Inspiration Board easy to navigate.
Pull Every 15 Minutes
To keep your Inspiration Board up to date, KAWO pulls content from linked social media accounts every 15 minutes so you’ll never have to wait long for the latest posts to show up.
We recognized that retweets aren’t relevant to Chinese social networks. KAWO no longer pulls in retweets into the Inspiration Board in order to reduce clutter.
