KAWO’s Inspiration Board gives account managers easy access to a library of content to be published to Chinese social media by pulling in posts from global networks. While it’s a great feature, we realised there was a potential component that could improve the experience: an easy way to mark posts to be translated by colleagues.
So, we spent some time under the hood and came up with a simple, easy-to-use feature that’s certain to improve collaboration and publishing.
The Problem - Too Much Content
Some brands on KAWO have up to 70 inspiration sources connected, which means that there’s a lot of content flooding in from global networks. So while the Inspiration Board serves as great dashboard for content, there was a slight issue. If you only want to post so many times a day, how do you choose which posts should be published?
Taking a look at our back end, we were able to see that users were scheduling posts weeks in advance to select when a post was in need of translation. We felt this wasn’t the best method to choose which content to publish, and since it left a lot of room for error, we found a way to improve the experience.
Our Solution - Starring Posts
Now, it takes just one click to let your colleagues know which posts should go out. Simply scroll through the Inspiration Board and click on the star for a post you’d like to be translated. Take a look below at how a post would look when starred.
When your colleague logs on, they can see in the notification sidebar that you have starred a post.
When they click on this, it will take them straight into editing the post you starred.
Giving users this one-click option to identify posts for translation makes it even easier for account managers to syndicate content from their brand’s global channel, leading to better communication and better content.
